How to add standalone azure VM to Azure Load balancer

Azure have option to add standalone vm to azure load balancer apart from vm scale set or availability set but there is limitation (as on 28 july 2017) that we can add only one standalone vm . i dont see any benefit of adding single standalone vm to load balancer  but below are simple steps to add standalone vm to load  balancer.

 

Step 1 -> login to azure portal,  create new load balancer

Step 2 -> go to backend pool -> create new pool

 

Step 3 -> under “Associated to” select “single virtual machine”
